Full-time Faculty and Staff at CUNE are allowed to install the Microsoft Office 365 suite on up to 5 personal devices for free using their cune.edu Microsoft account.
All employees may use the Microsoft Office online apps for free from any device by signing into office.com/apps.
Note that installing Office will take quite some time depending on your machine. Expect anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour.
To install Office or access Office online:
- Go to office.com and click Sign In in the upper right corner.

Sign in with your CUNE email and password. You may be prompted for multi-factor authentication.
- To use Office online, simply click on a file in your OneDrive folder listed, or start a new document with one of the apps on the left pane. Note the online apps have a limited feature set compared to the installed versions.
- To install Office, click Install and More near the top of the page, and select Install Office 365 apps.
- Follow the prompts on the popup to install Office.
Do NOT install Office 365 on your CUNE issued desktop or laptop - they already have the correct Office products installed.
