Email headers contain a bunch of technical information that tell us more about an email and where it came from.  Occasionally we ask people to send us the email headers to help solve a problem.

To find the email message headers using Outlook 2010 or later follow the steps below:

  1. Open the message by double clicking on it in Outlook.

  2. Select the File tab near the top of the screen.

  3. From the File tab select Properties to open the message properties page.

  4. Near the bottom of the message properties page is a box titled "Internet Headers". Copy the entire contents of that box.

  5. Paste those headers into your message to us.

If you’re getting to your email some other way, let us know and we’ll try to send specific instructions.
