Email headers contain a bunch of technical information that tell us more about an email and where it came from. Occasionally we ask people to send us the email headers to help solve a problem.
To find the email message headers using Outlook 2010 or later follow the steps below:
- Open the message by double clicking on it in Outlook.
- Select the File tab near the top of the screen.
- From the File tab select Properties to open the message properties page.
- Near the bottom of the message properties page is a box titled "Internet Headers". Copy the entire contents of that box.
- Paste those headers into your message to us.
If you’re getting to your email some other way, let us know and we’ll try to send specific instructions.
