Files with unique file extensions such as Finale's .mus and .musx files can't be sent through email. To send Finale files to another person, you will need to use a file sharing service. Students can use their Google Drive, while faculty and staff can use Microsoft OneDrive.
Students - Google Drive
- Make sure your file is uploaded to your cune.org Google Drive. Click the +New button, select File upload, and find the file you'd like to share.
- Find the file in your Drive, right-click it and select Share.

Enter the email addresses of everyone you want to share it with.
- You'll see a drop-down menu next to each name for editing permissions. If you want them to download their own copy of the file, you should set the editing permissions to Viewer.

- Enter a message if you'd like and click Send.
Faculty/Staff - OneDrive

Make sure your file is saved in your OneDrive.
- For CUNE-issued devices, your Desktop, Documents, Music, Pictures, and Videos folders are all in your OneDrive already. (Desktop, Documents, Music folders only for Macs)

You can also upload files to OneDrive online.

Find the file, right-click it and select Share - it should have a blue cloud icon next to it.

Enter the email addresses of everyone you want to share it with.

Only click the pencil icon and select allow editing if you want those you're sharing it with to edit your copy of the file in your OneDrive. This is not recommended for most cases.

Regardless of how you shared it, the recipient(s) should be able to download the file and make changes of their own.
