Sometimes you want to keep a file available in two places, so different audiences or circumstances can access it easily. These steps will show you how to create a shortcut from a file in one location of Teams or OneDrive to another location in Teams.
- Begin by access the Files tab of the destination for the shortcut
- Click the New + button
- Select Link from the menu
- A textbox and list
of recent items appear
- If the desired document appears in the scrollable list, click on it to create the shortcut
- If the desired
document does not appear, obtain a copy of the file share URL and paste it into
the textbox
- Name the shortcut
- Click Create
- After a few seconds,
the shortcut will appear
