In the event that your Microsoft Authenticator app is not getting notifications, you can use these steps to use a one-time password (OTP) code instead.

  1. When Microsoft prompts for a number or sign in approval, click "I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now".

  2. Click "Use a verification code".

  3. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.
  4. Click on Concordia University, Nebraska (it should list your email).

  5. Find the field called One-time password code.

Note: You will need this number, but it changes every 30 seconds. There is a countdown timer to the left that indicates how much time is left before it changes.

  6. Return to the Microsoft Login page from step 2.
  7. Type in the OTP code from your Authenticator app and click Verify

NoteIf the timer runs out before you hit Verify, type in the newly generated OTP code. It will regenerate a new code every 30 seconds.

Once verified, you'll login and be redirected back to the service you were attempting to access. If you need to update your Multifactor Authentication (MFA) settings or add a device as an option for MFA, please see this article for instructions: How do I change my MFA settings?
