What credentials should be saved to my 1Password Business account?
Any login credentials, identity information, or other item type offered by 1Password that is being used to do work associated with your position at Concordia University, Nebraska should be stored in 1Password. It is recommended that a family account be set up to store non-Institutional information.
Does IT Services support my 1Password Family account?
IT Services does not provide support services for family accounts nor has any visibility into your family account or personal data. Please be sure to save any recovery tools for your family account in a secure location at home.
May I put the 1Password app on my personal device and use it to access my 1Password Business account?
You may access this service from a personal device, such as a cell phone, tablet, or personal computer.
May I add my personal credentials to my 1Password Business account?
It is recommended that you use a 1Password Family account and keep these items separate. Both accounts can be used on a single device simultaneously.
When should a Team Vault be created?
Anytime there is a login, account number, or other secure information shared between multiple individuals on a regular basis, a Team Vault should be requested in order to securely maintain this information.

How can I protect Institutional data in my Vaults while I'm away from work?
There is a feature called Travel Mode which can lock you out of your Institutional Vaults from your devices. This protects shared vaults while you are away from work, such as vacation or medical leave. This feature makes Institutional vaults inaccessible from your account should a device become lost or compromised. This feature is only available on your business account. IT Services can enable this mode for you.
Can the Helpdesk unlock my 1Password Business account?
Your 1Password Business account authenticates using your Microsoft credentials. You may use the Microsoft Self-Service Password Reset tool to reset this password. The Helpdesk is also able to assist if necessary.

Can I replace my Microsoft Authenticator app with 1Password for MFA?
1Password is not a replacement for the Microsoft Authenticator app for your CUNE Microsoft login as a multifactor authentication method. You may use it as an MFA method for other accounts, if desired.
Can the Helpdesk assist me with my 1Password Family account?
IT Services has no visibility into your 1Password Family account and cannot assist you with this account administration.
Are we required to use this tool?
Using 1Password is not required by IT Services. However, your department may require you to use it to access shared credentials. This may be done using a web browser or application on your work computer.
May I install this app on my work computer?
You may install and we recommend installing this app on your work computer. Browser extensions may be added to one or all of the web browsers installed on your work computer. It is recommended that you install any updates to these tools when offered.
Will the app be included on replacement computers issued by IT Services?
The 1Password application will come pre-installed on new or replacement systems.
