Recommended 1Password Setup
We recommend changing a few key settings to get the best use out of 1Password. This setup lets you sign into the 1Password desktop app once in the morning, sync into all browsers via the 1Password extension(s), then remain unlocked all day. This way you only need to unlock 1Password once a day and it will auto-fill/auto-login to websites in all your browsers.
Account, App, and Browser Setup
Install the desktop app and the browser extension for all web browsers you expect to use on your computer. The browser extensions should update automatically. The desktop app will show a small banner on the desktop window that says there is an update available. You can simply click the "update now" or "restart" button to complete this process.
Note: Make sure to keep your browser up to date too and restart it when it says that it needs to restart to finish an update.

Managing entries in 1Password
Don't overlook the website field when saving a password!
Each 1Password item has the option of including one or more website domains/URLs. This will cause the entry to show up as an autofill option when you load that website (if your browser has the extension installed). It's worth noting that any website ending in a website domain will display these entries as an option. Manually managing the entries/websites in this way will make sure that you do not have duplicate login credentials for multiple different websites. Instead, you'll have one entry that works across all the websites that are specified within the entry.
Example: If an entry has cune.edu in the website field, the login will popup as an option for blackboard.cune.edu, portal.cune.edu, webprint.cune.edu, login.cune.edu, etc. so long as the webpage has a username/password field.
